Reverend Brooke Petersen took the call to Irving Park Lutheran Church in October of 2006. She is a graduate of Hope College with a BA in Political Science and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where she received her M.Div. Pastor Petersen is strongly committed to social justice ministries, and finds that her passions are reflected and embodied by the people of Irving Park Lutheran. She is a life-long Lutheran and the granddaughter of a Lutheran pastor. In her spare time she loves to travel, read, and spend time in her favorite city- Chicago! Pastor Petersen's travels have taken her from the Midwest to Finland, Russia, Sweden, Europe, Kenya, Tanzania, and the Middle East. She plans to continue her world tour with her husband Josh Brown.
