Worship

Services offered at convenient times, participation by all, inviting all, proclaiming the gospel, propelled out into the world to care for and serve all. The inspirational music includes all traditions, forms and styles universally acceptable. Worship will be heavenly.

Discipleship / Learning

Baptism, forgiveness and communion interplay in everyday life to form and transform our actions. A congregation thirsty for knowledge and committed to others; our faith is the center of our life and transforms what we do, creating a strong community that cares for itself and those around them. We live the mission of the church to support justice and peace.

Fellowship

Living in Fellowship at IPLC encourages a feeling of inclusion and belonging for all members, new and old, through sharing of the peace, sharing of meals, relational groups and social activities. Reaching out to the congregation is purposeful and intentional. All are welcome and informed of the nature and purpose of the groups and social gatherings. Personal invitations are our way to make the excluded feel included.

Service

At IPLC, members feel the caring of fellow members and draw upon that concern. The congregation and individual members work with the community outside of our church. Our neighborhood extends into the world through cooperation with other groups, including other churches, the synod and the ELCA. We stay informed of services available and communicate these to all we touch.

Evangelism / Witness

We proactively seek out visitors from our community, and know how to make them feel immediately comfortable. We intentionally follow up with a personal touch. We help them connect with others in our congregation as they come to know us. Our outreach programs are our magnets for the seekers.
